Clothing and Accessories
designed by artist Elizabeth Bonerb
During my life as an artist I have been inspired to design many wearable pieces. I remember experiencing an enlightnment when I was standing in a gallery looking at an object that fascinated me. Suddenly I realized that someone somewhere had envisioned that object and then made it real. I KNEW that I would do that someday too. I have enjoyed designing lots of clothing, shoes, jewelry and other accessories. Body adornment exudes a wonderful magic as old as time. When I work I feel that energy. I want to share some of the garments that I enjoyed making the most. These wearables are all one of a kind and live as treasures in the art collections where they now exist. One of my wearable pieces represented The United States as part of the North American Contingent in the 1980 Craft Fair which was held in Vienna, Austria. Look at my work and you are looking at my soul. Click on the text directly under each of the wearable thumbnails to see an enlargement of that item and find out details. |
