This was one of the first pairs of shoes that I ever made that were not sandals. I was very excited about the project. I spent a cold winter feeding three wood stoves in an old uninsulated farm house. As I huddled by the heat I opened up my bag of scraps left from other projects and these shoes materialized. I sewed my dreams into them. They were healing shoes. I wore them until they eventually desintegrated. I still have one piece that survived. Sometimes I display it on one of my altars as a special marker of a frigid winter in that ancient farm house over 30 years ago.
